Selena Gomez received a kidney transplant from her BFF, and she reveled it on Instagram by posting its pictures.
Selena Gomez recently posted a picture on social media where she is seen holding hand of her fellow actress and BFF Francia Racia both lying in the bed of a Hospital. She also explained in a post why they were in the hospital . Selena Gomez was suffering from a kidney disease known as Lupus (Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease) since a long time.
In one of the post she wrote: "I'm very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn't promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of," Gomez wrote in the caption." "So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering." Selena also said that "She (Francia) gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me," Gomez said. "I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis."
Gomez revealed her Lupus diagnosis in 2015 and last year took some time off as she struggled with the disease as well as anxiety and depression.The Actress said the transplant was "what I needed to do for my overall health."
Francia and Selena have been best friends since 2008 and even call each other sisters. She said she looked forward to sharing more with her fans later about her transplant journey, but in the meantime she wanted to thank her health team as well.
